Norman, Oklahoma’s third-largest municipality, has a population 128,097 in 2021. It is the capital and county seat of Cleveland County. It is also the second-largest metro area in Oklahoma City, after Oklahoma City. It is located 20 miles (32 km) south of OKC.
With the Louisiana Purchase of 1803 the United States made Oklahoma a part of the United States.
