Information About Data Cleaning And Data Services

Monitoring Social Media Engagement

Social media is an essential touchpoint in the selling process. To determine the most successful digital marketing strategies, it is important to be able measure and present engagement metrics across multiple social networks and campaigns. Social media engagement is a key focus of marketing reports. This will include descriptive analytics. You can easily summarize all measures of social media engagement using descriptive techniques such as clicks (likes and shares), detail expands and bounce rate.

One company might be interested to know which social media accounts drive the most traffic to their website. They can use visualizations, dashboards and descriptive statistics to compare data from different channels. Marketing teams can also examine specific shareable content to identify which one is the most popular. They might, for example, compare blog posts with videos.

It is not able to draw any direct conclusions but it is still very useful. It allows teams to create hypotheses and make informed decisions regarding their time and budget.

Streaming and Ecommerce

To identify trends, streaming services like Spotify and Netflix use descriptive analysis. Amazon and eBay use descriptive analytics. Descriptive analytics are used to identify which products are the most popular with buyers and users. Spotify uses descriptive analytics for finding out which artists and albums its subscribers are listening to. Amazon uses descriptive analytics to allow customers to compare their purchases. These insights are used in both cases to inform the recommendation engines.

Netflix is taking descriptive analytics to the next level. Netflix is a data-driven company that uses descriptive analytics to identify which TV shows or genres are the most popular among their subscribers. These insights are used to make decisions, including content creation and marketing campaigns.

Learning Management Systems

Many schools and organisations now offer hybrid online/offline learning. This includes traditional education as well as corporate training. LMSs, or learning management systems (or LMSs), are an integral part for those who are familiar with them. LMS platforms can track everything from user participation and attendance, to test scores, and in the case elearning courses, how much time it takes for learners to complete. Summarizing this information, descriptive-analytical reports offer a high-level overview of what’s working and what’s not.

These data can be used by teachers and training providers to track individual and collective targets. They can also use these data to analyze grade curves and determine which teaching resources are most popular. It is possible to draw the conclusion that videos are more popular then written documents, even though they might not be able to explain why. This information can help improve course design and provide better learning outcomes.
