Information About Data Cleaning And Data Services
What Are the Key Steps to Data Cleaning?
You can clean up your data by doing any or all of these:
Eliminate unnecessary columns. There is a good chance that some of the values in your data will not be relevant to your analysis. In an example, student ID numbers and dates of birth don’t matter in an analysis of test scores versus hours spent studying. This data could be deleted by simply deleting the relevant columns.
Recognize and eliminate duplicates. Duplicate data is more common during data collection, so filter them out. Today’s practical exercise will involve removing duplicates from the dataset. We’ll show how to do this in a moment!
You can deal with missing data. You have three options when dealing with missing data: either you can delete the entire row associated with it, impute the missing value using other data, or flag missing data by entering “0” and “missing” in each cell. You should carefully consider which method you choose to handle missing data.
Be sure to remove outliers. Outliers are any values that are significantly different from the rest of your data. If you observe that the majority of student test scores are between 50-80, but one student scored a 2, it might be an outlier. Although outliers could be due to an error, this is not always the case. So, when considering whether or not to remove them, it’s important to take care.
Fix inconsistencies. Inconsistencies in data can be caused by typos or irregular naming conventions, as we have already discussed. These can be fixed manually using Google Sheets’ “Find and Replace” function or Microsoft Excel’s filter option.
What is Quantitative Data?
Data professionals deal with two types data: qualitative and quantitative. What is quantitative data? What is qualitative data? Quantitative data can be described as descriptive, while qualitative data can be described as measurable.
You will need to be able to handle both data analysis and data science if you want to work in psychology or any other field that requires research. We’ll be focusing on quantitative data for now. We will explain what quantitative data is, and what you can do to analyze it.
Quantitative data simply means information that can easily be quantified. It can be measured or counted and assigned a numerical value, such as revenue in dollars or length in centimeters. Quantitative data are more structured than qualitative data and can be used for statistical analysis.

City of Fremont CA Information
Fremont is the fourth largest city located in California’s tri-city area in the San Francisco Bay. The local community does enough to combine the historical attractions and stunning beauty with a lot of things to do around here. From the railroad history highlighted at the Niles Canyon Railway to the recreated Mission San Jose, the legacy of Fermont is always on full display. There are stunning places to catch the sunset or take a hike around the city, such as the Don Edwards San Fransisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge, Coyote Hills, Quarry Lakes, and more. The long summers allow you to enjoy the many outdoor activities throughout the year.
History
Fremont is named after John Charles Fremont, an explorer and army officer who took great interest in the area. The earliest settlement in the area dates back to 1797 when Mission San Jose was founded. It was quite an agricultural area back then. But there was a rush of people in 1848 during the Gold Rush, and it became a one-shop stop for miners from across the US. The Transcontinental railroad was laid down in 1869, further pushing its economy upwards. Throughout the years, Fermont became home to some of the top tech companies in the country.
Climate
Fremont has a Mediterranean climate with hot and sunny summers and mild and rainy winters. But the summers are milder as it is just next to the ocean. Summers are pleasant, but a few days from May to early October can be hot, reaching 95°F. The temperature during the winter can drop to 32°F at night and remains around 54°F during the day. Snow is not so common, and so is a real cold wave. You can expect rain in the months of April, May, and October even though the weather remains good most of the day with showers spread across the day.
Demographics
Fremont is a culturally diverse city with people belonging to a variety of racial and ethnic groups living here. The city’s largest number of residents are Asian, followed by White. It also has a sizeable Hispanic and Latino population who call Fremont their home. You’ll also find important ancestries of people belonging to German, Irish, Italian, English, and Afghan.
Fremont is majorly a white-collar city, with most of its workforce engaged in white-collar jobs. Despite being a small city, a large number of young professionals live, making it a great place for singles looking for socializing, fun, friendships, and romance. You’ll also find the city becoming popular among young couples with kids because some of the finest schools in the country are located here.
Transportation
Fremont is a fairly large city with good transportation options, even though most people prefer to drive their own car. You can take the buses to almost anywhere in the city. BART and ACE trains are also available to visit the nearby cities and towns.
Top Businesses
Fremont is called the “hardware side of the Bay” because of the hundreds of manufacturing companies located here. One in every 4 people in the city work in some sort of advanced manufacturing job. Another booming sector in Fremont is the Life sciences. There is a growing presence of pharmaceutical and biotherapeutics manufacturing companies looking to fulfill the growing demand for biomedical products. However, it is the hardware and semiconductor expertise that has helped Fermont become the epicenter of cleantech and autotech.
